RPF Rescues Child from the Clutches of a Kidnapper

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Secunderabad Railway Station rescued a three year old boy from the clutches of a kidnapper here at Secunderabad railway station o­n 21st February, 2015.

The incident occurred when  S.K. Azeem , a resident of Markapur, Prakasam district was travelling along with his wife and their three year old child S.K. Azmal from Guntur to Secunderabad in Train No. 12703.  Azeem was travelling in General compartment while his wife and son travelled  in ladies compartment. o­n reaching Secunderabad railway station, the boy was found missing. The couple immediately informed the matter to the RPF personnel present o­n the platform.

Acting o­n the same, the RPF personnel led by the Asst Sub – Inspectors  swung into action and thoroughly undertook a check o­n the platform and station exits of the station. Based o­n the particulars of the child and facial features, the RPF was able to  apprehend the kidnapper Bikshapathi who hailed from Nalgonda and rescued the child and united him with his desolate parents. The accused was handed over by the RPF to the Govt Railway Police (GRP). The father of the boy appreciated the prompt action of RPF personnel and conveyed his gratitude to them for rescuing the child.
