The 28th All India Railway Cricket Championship for Women
2014-15, being held in the city is coming to a climax. The results of matches
held today i.e., 12th February, 2015 is as follows:-
South Central Railway prevailed over North Central Railway by 6 Wickets. After winning the toss, North Central Railway
batting 1st were shot out for 104 runs in 47.4 overs. The bowlers of SCR Subji
Pandey took 3 wickets in 8 overs by giving away just 25 runs, while, Gouher
Sultana and Asha Joy took 2 wickets apiece and Shravani took 1 wicket
bowling 4 maiden overs. South Central Railway chased the target in just
35.1 overs by losing only 4 wickets scoring 106 runs.
In another match held today, Southern Railway beat Northern Railway by
33 runs. Winning the toss and electing to bat first Southern Railway made a
low score of 217 runs for 7 wickets with the contribution by 73 runs by N.
Niranjana and 60 runs by V.Vilasini. In the reply, Northern Railway were bowled
out for 184 runs in 47.3 overs.
In yet another match, Central Railway beat Eastern Railway by 58 runs.
Batting first, Central Railway made 187 runs in 50 overs losing 7 wickets.
Chasing the target, Eastern Railway could make with 129 runs in 44.1 overs.
Bowlers of Central Railway, Nancy took 3 wickets bowling 9.1 overs while Nidhi
got 2 wickets and Apoorva got 1 wicket.
In the
semi-finals to be played on Saturday 14th February, 2015 South
Central Railway will battle it out against Southern Railway at Gymkhana Grounds
and Western Railway will clash with Central Railway at Railway Recreation Club
(RRC) Grounds to decide the finalists
