Railways have decided to run 2 special trains between Pune and Lucknow to clear the extra rush of passengers. The details are as under

01451 special train will leave Pune o­n 1.10.2013 (Tuesday) at 22.00 hrs and will arrive Lucknow at 02.00 hrs o­n third day i.e. Thursday.

01452 special train will leave Lucknow o­n 3.10.2013 (Thursday) at 07.00 hrs and will arrive Pune at 11.05 hrs o­n next day i.e. Friday.

With an aim to provide better comforts for the convenience of passengers, Railways has decided to extend Guwahati - Ernakulam - Guwahati Express up to Thiruvantapuram with effect from 1^stOctober 2013 from Thiruvantapuram and w.e.f. 4^thOctober 2013 from Guwahati.

Consequent upon arrival of this train at Ernakulam at 17.45hrs, this train will leave at 17.50hrs towards Thiruvantapuram and will arrive there at 22.30hrs o­n every Sunday. In the return direction, this train will leave Thiruvantapuram at 17.00hrs o­n every Tuesday and will arrive at Guwahati o­n every Friday.

The timings and stoppages of 12508/12507 Guwahati - Trivandrum - Guwahati express between Guwahati and Ernakulam will remain unchanged.

PHOTO IDENTITY CARDS OF ACCREDITED PRESS CORRESPONDENTS

TO BE REVALIDATED

The validity of the photo identity cards of accredited press correspondents for grant of rail travel concession is due to end in October, 2013.Hence, such cards need to be revalidated.

Railway Board has decided that the photo identity cards should be revalidated for another six months i.e. upto 30.04.2014.

Further, Ministry of Railways has decided to issue new photo identity cards to press correspondents with effect from 01.05.2014.The validity of the new photo identity card will be two years from the date of issue.

Central Railway has decided to run 2 Air-conditioned Superfast special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Hazarat Nizamuddin to clear the extra rush of passengers. The details are as under – 

02109 LTT – Hazarat Nizamuddin AC Superfast special train will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus o­n Tuesday 01.10.2013 at 14.30 hrs and arrive Hazarat Nizamuddin at 10.20 hrs next day. 

02110 Hazarat Nizamuddin – LTT AC Superfast special train will leave Hazarat Nizamuddin o­n Wednesday 02.10.2013 at 15.50 hrs and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 11.50 hrs next day. 

Halts: Nasik Road, Bhusawal, Bhopal, Jhansi, Gwalior and Agra Cantonment.     

Composition: o­ne AC First Class, Three AC-2 tier, Ten AC-3 tier, 2 Generators cum guard’s brake vans and o­ne Pantry car.

CR TO RUN 34 MORE FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAINS

Railways have decided to run 34 more festival special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during festival season. Railways have already announced running of 48 festival specials. The details of 34 festival specials are as under:

A) WEEKLY AC SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN MUMBAI AND SECUDNERABAD (16)

02702 AC Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 20.50 hrs o­n every Monday from 7.10.2013 to 25.11.2013 (8 trips) and will reach Secunderabad at 13.45 hrs next day.

02701 AC Special will leave Secunderabad at 23.45 hrs o­n every Sunday from 6.10.2013 to 24.11.2013 (8 trips) and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 17.05 hrs next day.

Halts: Panvel, Lonavala, Pune, Daund (for 02701 o­nly), Solapur, Wadi, Seram, Tandur, Vikarabad and Begampet.

Composition: o­ne AC first class, Three AC-2 tier, Nine AC-3 tier and 2 Generator cum Guard’s brake vans.

B) WEEKLY SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN MUMBAI AND JABALPUR SPECIALS (18)

01701 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 13.30 hrs o­n every Sunday from 6.10.2013 to 1.12.2013 (9 trips) and will arrive Jabalpur at 06.00 hrs next day.

01702 Special will leave Jabalpur at 19.30 hrs o­n every Saturday from 5.10.2013 to 30.11.2013 (9 trips) and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 12.15 hrs next day.

Halts: Dadar, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda, Itarsi, Pipariya, Gadarwara and Narsinghpur.

Composition: o­ne AC-2 tier, Three AC-3 tier, 11 Sleeper class, 4 General Second Class and 2 General second class cum guard’s brake vans.

Temporary Cancellation of Indo-Bangla ‘Maitree’ Express Train on 15th & 16th October 2013

There has been some temporary suspension in the movement of bi-weekly regular ‘Maitree’ Express train service between Kolkata (India) to Dhaka (Bangladesh) on account of Eid-Ul-Azha, This train normally runs from Kolkata on every Tuesday and Saturday while in the return direction it departs from Dhaka every Wednesday and Sunday. 

On the request from Bangladesh Railway, the Indian Railways has decided to cancel the trip of ‘Maitree’ Express train on 15th October 2013 (Tuesday) from Kolkata and on 16th October 2013 (Wednesday) from Dhaka to avoid operational complications arising due to non running of trains in Bangladesh on Eid days. Normal services of the train will resume thereafter.

Train No. 19201 Secunderabad-Porbandar Express Rescheduled today

Train No.19201 Secunderabad - Porbandar Express scheduled to depart Secunderabad at 15 00 hrs today i.e., 25^th September, 2013 (Wednesday) is re-scheduled to depart at 10 00 hrs tomorrow i.e., 26^th September, 2013 due to late running of its pairing Train No. 19202 Porbandar - Secunderabad Express o­n account of  breaches o­n Bharuch - Vadodara section of Western Railway.

Temporary Withdrawal of Pantry Car Service by AP Samparkranthi Express

The Pantry Car service by Train No. 12708 / 12707 Tirupathi - Hazrat Nizamuddin - Tirupathi AP Samparkranthi Express has been temporarily withdrawn with immediate effect due to expiry of pantry car catering contract. The recommencement of pantry car service will be advised as soon as the new contract is finalised.

Eight Special Trains between Secunderabad – Vijayawada via Nalgonda, Guntur for Festival Season

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Dussera/Diwali ensuing festival season, South Central Railway will run eight Special Trains between Secunderabad and Vijayawada via Nalgonda, Guntur as per the following schedule:-

Train No. 07208 Secunderabad-Vijayawada Special Train will depart Secunderabad at 23 15 hrs o­n 8^th, 15^th, 22^nd and 29^th November 2013 (Fridays) and arrive Vijayawada at 05 30 hrs o­n the next day.

In the opposite direction, Train No. 07207 Vijayawada-Secunderabad Special Train will depart Vijayawada at 23 00 hrs o­n 7^th 14^th, 21^st and 28^th November 2013 (Thursdays) and arrive Secunderabad at 05 40 hrs o­n the next day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalguda, Nadikude, Piduguralla, Sattenapalle, Guntur and Mangalagiri stations in both directions.

Temporary Stoppage At Ravindrakhani for Secunderabad- Sirpurkaghaznagar-Secunderabad Telangana Express

South Central Railway will provide additional stoppage for Tr No. 17035/17036 Secunderabad - Sirpurkhaznagar - Seunderabad Telangana Express at Ravindrakhani on Manchiryal-Bellampalli Section o­n experimental basis for a period of six months with effect from 25^th September 2013.

Accordingly, Train No. 17035 Secunderabad - Sirpurkhaznagar Telangana Express will arrive / depart Ravindrakhani at 12 09 / 12 10 hrs. In the return direction, Train No. 17036 Sirpurkaghaznagar - Secunderabad Telangana Express will arrive / depart Ravindrakhani at 15 24 / 15 25 hrs.
