CLOSURE OF AHMEDABAD-HIMMATNAGAR AND SANAWAD-KHANDWA METRE GAUGE SERVICES FOR GAUGE CONVERSION WORK

            Ministry of Railways has approved permanent closure of Ahmedabad – Himmatnagar and Sanawad - Khandwa Metre Gauge sections for Gauge Conversion work. The M.G trains running o­n Ahmedabad – Himmatnagar section and Sanawad – Khandwa section will be permanently discontinued with effect from 01^st January, 2017 for passenger traffic. Consequently trains running o­n Himmatnagar-Khed Brahma section will also be cancelled permanently, due to Gauge conversion work o­n Ahmedabad-Himmatnagar section.

The following M.G trains running o­n Ahmedabad – Himmatnagar section will be permanently cancelled w.e.f 01/01/2017:-

1.Train No. 52924/52923 Ahmedabad- Khed Brahma Passenger

2.Train No. 52920/52919 Ahmedabad- Himmatnagar Passenger

3.Train No. 52916/52915 Ahmedabad- Nandol Dahegam Passenger

4.Train No. 52926/52925 Ahmedabad- Khed Brahma Passenger

5.Train No. 52922/52921 Ahmedabad- Himmatnagar Passenger

6.Train No. 52918/52917 Ahmedabad- Nandol Dahegam Passenger.

·Partial Cancellation of trains:-

1. Train No. 52928/52927 Ahmedabad- Udaipur Mewar Fast Passenger will be cancelled between Ahmedabad & Himmatnagar station.

2.Train No. 19944/19943 Ahmedabad- Udaipur City Express will be cancelled between Ahmedabad & Himmatnagar station.

INTRODUCTION OF TRAIN 22444 / 22443 BANDRA (T) - KANPUR POSTPONED

Introduction of weekly Train No 22444/22443 between Bandra (T) & Kanpur which was scheduled to depart from Bandra (T) o­n 9^th January, 2015, has been postponed till further notice. Passengers are requested to kindly note and cancel their tickets accordingly.

EXTRA COACHES IN 7 PAIRS OF TRAINS

Railways have decided to temporarily augment o­ne AC 3tier Coach in 2 pairs of trains i.e. 12903/04 Mumbai Central – Amritsar Golden Temple Mail and 12955/56 Mumbai Central – Jaipur Superfast Express ; two AC 3Tier Coaches in 12267/68 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Duranto Express & o­ne Second Class Sleeper Coach each in 12961/62 Mumbai Central – Indore Avantika Express, 12927/28 Mumbai Central – Vadodara Express and 12971/72 Bandra(T) – Bhavnagar Express. o­ne AC 3 Tier coach has also been added permanently in 13426/25 Surat – Malda Town Express  Ex Surat from 26^th Jan,2015 and Ex Malda Town from 24^th Jan,2015.

One AC 3 Tier coach is added to 12903/04 Mumbai Central – Amritsar Golden Temple Mail between 21^st Jan,2015 to 31^st Jan,2015 Ex Mumbai Central and between  23^rd  Jan,2015 to 02^nd Feb,2015 Ex Amritsar.

Two AC 3 Tier coaches are added to 12267/68 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Duranto Express between from 22^nd Jan,2015 to 01^st Feb,2015 Ex Mumbai Central  and between from 21^stJan,2015 to 31^st Jan,2015   Ex Ahmedabad.

One AC 3 Tier coach is added to 12955/56 Mumbai Central – Jaipur Superfast Express between from 21^st Jan,2015 to 31^st Jan,2015 Ex Mumbai Central  and between from 22^ndJan,2015 to 01^st Feb,2015 Ex Jaipur.

One Second Class Sleeper coach is added to 12961/62 Mumbai Central – Indore Avantika Express between from 21^st Jan,2015 to 31^stJan,2015 Ex Mumbai Central  and between from 22^nd Jan,2015 to 01^st Feb,2015 Ex Indore.

One Second Class Sleeper coach is added to 12927/28 Mumbai Central – Vadodara Express between from 21^st Jan,2015 to 31^st Jan,2015 Ex Mumbai Central  and between from 22^ndJan,2015 to 01^st Feb,2015 Ex Vadodara.

Similarly, o­ne Second Class Sleeper coach is added to 12971/72 Bandra(T) – Bhavnagar Express between from 22^nd Jan,2015 to 01^st Feb,2015 Ex Mumbai Central  and between from 21^stJan,2015 to 31^st Jan,2015 Ex Bhavnagar.

DYNAMIC PRICING ON 50% TATKAL QUOTA IN 11 WR TRAINS

It has been decided by Ministry of Railways, that 50% of the existing tatkal quota shall be sold under dynamic fare scheme. After booking of the 50% of the tatkal quota under Tatkal scheme, the subsequent 50% of the tatkal quota, defined as premium tatkal quota shall be sold o­n dynamic pricing. This scheme shall be operational for the 11 WR trains departing from originating stations with effect from given dates as under:-

·12471 Bandra (T)-Jammu Tawi Swaraj Express – with immediate effect

·12915 Ahmedabad-New Delhi Ashram Express – w.e.f  21/1/2015

·12961 Mumbai Central-Indore Avantika Express – w.e.f  22/1/2015

·12962 Indore - Mumbai Central Avantika Express – w.e.f  22/1/2015

·19707 Bandra (T) – Jaipur Aravali Express – with immediate effect

·12901 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Gujarat Mail– with immediate effect

·12902Ahmedabad - Mumbai Central Gujarat Mail– with immediate effect

·14708 Bandra (T) – Bikaner Ranakpur Express – with immediate effect

·12909 Bandra (T)-H.Nizamuddin Garib Rath – with immediate effect

However it may be noted that Premium Tatkal quota in Train 12919 Indore-Jammu Tawi Malwa Express has been withdrawn w.e.f 21/1/2015 and the same has been earmark as Tatkal Quota.
