Railway Facilities for Simhastha Kumbha in Ujjain

In view of the importance of the forthcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela in 2016, the following additional Passenger amenities at Ujjain Railway Station have been sanctioned:-

• Improvements to platform cover on Platforms No. 2/3, & 6/7;

• Raising of Platforms No. 1, 2/3 and 4/5;

• Development of additional sitting space on Platform No.1;

• Provision of additional foot-over-bridge at Indore end;

• Extension of the existing foot-over-bridge at Nadiad end;

• Provision of chilled water plant of 1200 liters capacity; and

• Improvement of lights at various platforms etc.

Further, additional passenger amenities have been planned at adjoining satellite stations such as Nagda, Vikramnagar, Shibra Bridge, Fatehbad, Naikheri, Chitaman Ganesh, Pingleshwar Nai Khedi, Indore, Ratlam etc.
