CHANGE IN PATTERN OF TRAIN SERVICES DUE TO LINE BLOCK & EXTENSION / INTRODUCTION OF EMUs AS SPECIAL TRAINS

Due to line block / power block to facilitate engineering works at Arakkonam railway station, the following changes will be made in suburban train services for 28 days from 11.08.2014.

A. The following trains will be partially cancelled between Thiruvalangadu – Arakkonam.

1. Train No.43803 Chennai Beach - Arakkonam EMU local scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 04.30 hrs.
2. Train No.43405 MMC – Arakkonam EMU local scheduled to leave MMC at 06.40 hrs.
3. Train No.43425 MMC – Arakkonam EMU local scheduled to leave MMC at 18.05 hrs.
4. Train No.43427 MMC – Arakkonam EMU local scheduled to leave MMC at 18.40 hrs.

B.  Partial cancellation of Ladies Special EMU between Tiruvallur – Arakkonam.

Train No.43807 Chennai Beach – Arakkonam Ladies Special EMU local scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 18.05 hrs. will be partially cancelled between Tiruvallur – Arakkonam.

C.  Extension of EMU to Chitteri.

Train No.66011 MMC – Arakkonam MEMU fast local scheduled to leave MMC at 17.45 hrs. will be extended to run upto Chitteri.

II. EXTENSION / INTRODUCTION OF EMUs AS SPECIAL TRAINS

Some suburban train services will be extended / introduced as special trains for a period of o­ne month with effect from 11.08.2014.

1. Train No.43247 MMC – Tiruvallur EMU local scheduled to leave MMC at 19.30 hrs. will be extended to run upto Arakkonam as a fast local and will reach Arakkonam at 21.10 hrs.  This train will stop at Basin Bridge Jn., Perambur, Villivakkam, Ambattur, Thiruninravur, Tiruvallur, Kadambattur & Thiruvalangadu.

2. Train No.43607 Chennai Beach – Avadi EMU local scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 19.10 hrs. will be extended to run upto Tiruvallur and reach Tiruvallur at 20.50 hrs.

3. A new suburban train service, Train No.43844 Arakkonam – Avadi EMU local will leave Arakkonam at 21.50 hrs. and reach Avadi at 22.50 hrs.
