IMPROVEMENT IN RELIABILITY OF TRACK SECTIONS ON CR

Central Railway has continued its sustainable efforts to improve the reliability of tracks by protecting with Digital Axle Counters. It has identified locations prone to water logging / flooding / critical locations leading to signal failures during heavy rains thereby disruption in services. 

71 track sections have been protected with Digital Axle Counters at Bhandup, Rabale, Ambivli, Ambernath and Atgaon stations during the month of February 2015. In all 825 such track sections have been protected with Digital Axle Counters during the current year for disruption free services o­n Central Railway.
