RUNNING OF SPECIAL TRAINS ON KONKAN RAILWAY ROUTE

Good news for passengers !! Konkan Railway in co-ordination with Southern Railway will run a Bharat Darshan Special Train from Madurai to Madgaon and back, organised by the South Zone of IRCTC. Two AC 3-tier coaches and four Sleeper Class coaches of the special train will be available for booking through Passenger Reservation System (PRS) centres. The different legs of the special train are as detailed below.

1.Special fare special train from Madurai to Chennai Egmore
Train No.06901 Madurai – Chennai Egmore special fare special train will leave Madurai at 00.05 hrs. on 07.01.2017 and reach Chennai Egmore at 10.30 hrs. the same day.

Stoppages:Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli and Villupuram Jn.

2.Special fare special train from Chennai Egmore to Ernakulam Jn.
Train No.06902 Chennai Egmore – Ernakulam Jn. special fare special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 10.50 hrs. on 07.01.2017 and reach Ernakulam Jn. at 02.20 hrs. the next day.

Stoppages: Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem Jn, Erode Jn, Podanur Jn, Palakkad Jn, Wadakancheri and Thrissur.

3.Special fare special train from Ernakulam Jn. to Madgaon
Train No.06903 Ernakulam Jn. - Madgaon special fare special train will leave Ernakulam Jn. at 19.15 hrs. on 08.01.2017 and reach Madgaon at 10.30 hrs. the next day.

Stoppages: Thrissur, Shoranur Jn., Kozhikode, Kannur, Mangalore Jn. and Udupi.

4.Special fare special train from Madgaon to Chennai Egmore
Train No.06904 Madgaon – Chennai Egmore special fare special train will leave Madgaon at 13.00 hrs. on 11.01.2017 and reach Chennai Egmore at 14.20 hrs. the next day.

Stoppages: Udupi, Mangalore Jn., Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur, Palakkad Jn, Podanur Jn, Erode Jn, Salem Jn, Jolarpettai and Katpadi Jn.

5.Suvidha special train from Chennai Egmore to Madurai
Train No.82649 Chennai Egmore – Madurai Suvidha special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 14.25 hrs. on 12.01.2017 and reach Madurai at 23.55 hrs. the same day.

Stoppages:Villupuram Jn, Tiruchchirappalli and Dindigul Jn.

Special Trains between Kochuveli – Guwahati & Puducherry-Santragachi (Kolkata)

In order to clear extra rush of passengers, fifty special trains will be run between Kochuveli- Guwahati and Puducherry-Santragachi (Kolkata) as detailed below:-

1.Train No. 06336/06335 Kochuvelli-Guwahati-Kochuvelli (26 Services)

Train No. 06336 Kochuveli-Guwahati Special Train will depart Kochuveli at 12:00 hrson 1^st, 8^th, 15^th, 22^nd, 29^th January, 5^th, 12^th, 19^th, 26^th February, 5^th, 12^th, 19^th and 26^th March, 2017 (Sundays) and arrive Guwahati at 08:45 hrs o­n Wednesdays.

In the return direction, Train No. 06335 Guwahati-Kochuveli Special Train will depart Guwahati at 23:25 hrs o­n 4^th, 11^th, 18^th, 25^thJanuary, 1^st, 8^th, 15^th, 22^ndFebruary, 1^st, 8^th, 15^th, 22^nd and 29^th March, 2017 (Wednesdays) and arrive Kochuveli at 22:30 hrs o­n Saturday.

Enroute these special trains will stop at Kollam, Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Palakkad, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, , Perambur, Gudur, Nellore, o­ngole, Tenali, New Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry,Duvvada, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Sri Kakulam Rd, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Rd, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Hijili, Midnapore, Bankura, Adra, Asansol, Durgapur, Rampurhat, Malda Town, Barsoi, Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, Dhupguri, New Coochbehar, New Alipurduar, Kokrajhar, New Bongaigaon, Goalpara Town and Kamakhya stations in both the directions.

These trains will have 16 coaches viz, eight Sleeper Class, six General Second class and two Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.

2.Train No. 06010 / 06009 Puducherry-Santragachi-Puducherry (24 Services)

Train No. 06010 Puducherry-Santragachi Special Train will depart Puducherry at 19:15 hrson 7^th, 14^th, 21^st, 28^th January, 4^th, 11^th, 18^th, 25^thFebruary, 4^th, 11^th, 18^th and 25^thMarch, 2017 (Saturdays) and arrive Santragachi at 04:30 hrs o­n Mondays.

In the return direction, Train No. 06009 Santragachi-Puducherry Special Train will depart Santragachi at 14:10 hrs o­n 9^th, 16^th, 23^rd, 30^th January, 6^th, 13^th, 20^th, 27^thFebruary, 6^th, 13^th, 20^th and 27^th March, 2017 (Mondays) and arrive Puducherry at 20:15 hrs o­n Tuesdays.

Enroute these special trains will stop at Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram, Chennai Egmore, Gudur, Nellore, o­ngole, Chirala, Tenali, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Duvvada, Simhachalam North, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur stations in both the directions.

These trains will have 17 coaches viz, o­ne AC II Tier, o­ne AC III Tier, seven Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.

*All These above trains will run as special fare trains.

LOKMANYA TILAK TERMINUS – MANGALORE CENTRAL SPECIAL TRAIN o­n SPECIAL CHARGES

Railways have decided to run a special train between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Mangalore Central to clear the extra rush of passengers during Sabarimala Festival as per details given below.

Train No.06075 special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 01.10 hrs o­n 01.01.2017  and will arrive Mangalore Central at 19.15 hrs same day.

HALTS: Thane, Panvel, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Karmali, Madgaon, Karwar, Udupi and  Mulki

COMPOSITION: 12 Sleeper class, 6 General second class and 2 General Second class cum Guard’s break van.

(6 General second class and 2 General second class cum Guard’s Brake Vans will run as unreserved coaches with normal charges applicable for Mail/Express trains).

RESERVATION: Bookings for Train No. 06075 o­n Special Charges will open from 30.12.2016

Train No.06073 Chennai Central - Kollamspecial fare special train will leave Chennai Central at 22.30 hrs. o­n 29^th December, 2016 and reach Kollam at 14.10 hrs. the next day.

Composition:Sleeper Class – 12, General Second Class – 6 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Stoppages:Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam.

SCR to run Two more Sabarimalai Special Trains

In order to clear extra rush of passengers and pilgrims heading to Sabarimalai South Central Railway will run Two Sabarimalai special trains Between Hyderabad-Kollam as per the details given below.

Accordingly, Train No. 07109 Hyderabad-Kollam special train will depart Hyderabad at 15:55 hrs o­n 16^th December, 2016 and arrive Kollam at 23.15 hrs o­n the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07110 Kollam-Hyderabad special train will depart Kollam at 02:15 hrs o­n 18^th December, 2016 and arrive Hyderabad at 10.30 hrs o­n the next day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Secunderabad, Moula-ali, Jangaon, Kazipet, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Dornakal, Khammam, Madhira, Vijayawada, Tenali, Nidubrolu, Bapatla, Chirala, o­ngole, Kavali, Nellore, Gudur, Venkatagiri, Sri Kalahasti, Renigunta, Tirutani, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam stations in both the directions.

18 Special Trains between Tirupati and Nagarsol during Dussehra & Diwali Festival Season

Dussehra and Diwali Festive Special Trains between Tirupati and Nagarsol

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Dussehra and Diwali festival season, eighteen special trains will be run between Tirupati and Nagarsol via., Secunderabad as detailed below:-            

Train No 07417 Tirupati – Nagarsol Special Train will depart Tirupati at 07:30 hrs o­n 16^th, 23^rd, 30^th September, 7^th, 14^th, 21^st, 28^th October, 4^th and 11^th November, 2016 (Friday) arrive/depart Secunderabad at 20:15/20:25 hrs o­n the same day and arrive Nagarsol at 11.55hrs o­n the next day.  

In the return direction, Train No.07418 Nagarsol - Tirupati Special Train will depart Nagarsol at 22:00 hrs o­n 17^th, 24^th September, 1^st, 8^th, 15^th, 22^nd, 29^th October, 5^th and 12^th November, 2016 (Saturday), arrive/depart Secunderabad at 11:55/12:05 hrs o­n the next day and arrive Tirupati at 04:00 hrs o­n Mondays. 

Enroute, these special trains will also stop at Renigunta, Gudur, Nellore, o­ngole, Tenali, Guntur, Sattenapalli, Piduguralla, Nadikudi, Miryalguda, Nalgonda, Cherlapalli, Begumpet, Lingampalli, Shankarpalli, Vikarabad, Zahirabad, Bidar, Bhalki, Udgir, Latur Road, Pangaon, Parli, Gangakher, Parbhani, Manavat Road, Selu, Partur, Jalna and Aurangabad stations in both directions.

These special trains will consist of 19 coaches viz., o­ne AC II Tier, three AC III Tier, seven Sleeper Class, six General Second class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.

2. Train No. 07011 Secunderabad-Kakinada Town Special Trains is cancelled o­n 22^nd & 29^th July, 2016 and Train No. 07012 Kakinada Town-Secunderabad Special Train is cancelled o­n 23^rd & 30^th July, 2016/.

3. Train No. 07067 Secunderabad-Jammu Tawi Special Train is cancelled o­n 21^st & 28^thJuly, 2016 and Train No.07068 Jammu Tawi – Secunderabad Special Train is cancelled o­n 23^rd and 30^thJuly, 2016.
