“Southern Zone Time Table-October 2015 Issue” and “MMTS Pocket Time Table-October 2015 Issue” for Sale

The new Southern Zone Time Table-October 2015 issue and MMTS Pocket Time Table-October 2015 issue will be made available shortly for sale at Booking Counter of important Stations o­n South Central Railway. The Southern Zone Time Table-2015 which comes into effect from 1^st October 2015, got designed and printed by South Central Railway. This time table provides detailed timings o­n all the train services run o­n South Central Railway, Southern Railway, South Western Railway and Konkan Railway, abstract all India time table and also contains useful information o­n a host of other issues related to Rail services.

This time table can serve as a o­ne-stop guide for all the information needs of rail passengers in planning their journey. The salient features of the Time Table include introduction of Train No. 22415 / 22416 Visakhapatnam-New Delhi-Visakhapatnam AC AP Express o­n 14^th August, 2015, provision of stoppages for  Duronto Express trains originating/passing through SCR at Secunderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal and Renigunta stations. This time table also features the extension  of four express train and two passenger trains over SCR and diversion of 3 trains over SCR. 30 Trains have been speeded up by reducing their travel time ranging from 03 minutes to 210 minutes. Change of terminals is effected for 24 Express trains and o­ne passenger train. There will be change of train numbers for 12 trains and change in timings for 59 trains at various stations.  The “MMTS-Cum-Local Trains Pocket Time Table-October 2015 Issue” is brought out as an attractive multi-colour booklet of pocket size, which can be carried along conveniently by the MMTS passengers. This time table serves as a ready reference/travel guide to local rail commuters. This time table contains schedules of MMTS / Local Train services and other useful information such as system map, fare tables, list of colonies near to each MMTS station, tips for safe journey and public awareness campaign material etc. This valuable issue is priced at a nominal Rs.5/-only. The General Manager, SCR expressed hope that  these new time tables will meet the requirement of the public in getting comprehensive information o­n the schedules and other requisite data related to rail services. 

New Suburban Time Table for main line w.e.f 15.11.2014

The new suburban Time Table for Main line will come in to force from 15.11.2014. Though the total number of services will remain same as existing i.e. 825 services (809 services of 12-car and 16 services of 15-car) the total passenger Kms will increase from 44572 Kms to 45220 Kms i.e. increase of 648 Kms. This has been achieved by extension of existing services and speeding up of services.

EXTENSION OF SERVICES FROM 15.11.2014

1. Kalyan-CST local leaving Kalyan at 05.52 hrs is extended and will leave Ex Titwala at 05.36 hrs.

2. Titwala- Kurla local leaving Titwala at 06.50 hrs is extended upto CST.

3. Badlapur-Dadar local leaving Badlapur at 09.02 hrs is extended upto CST.

4. Asangaon- Kalyan local leaving Asangaon at 07.10 hrs is extended upto CST.

5. CST-Thane local leaving CST at 17.00 hrs is extended upto Kalyan.

6. CST-Kurla local leaving CST at 17.04 hrs is extended upto Thane.

7. CST-Kurla local leaving CST at 18.17 hrs is extended upto Kalyan.

8. Kurla-Dombivli local leaving Kurla at 20.05 hrs is extended upto Kalyan.

9. Kalyan-CST local leaving Kalyan at 05.21 hrs is extended and will leave Ex Ambernath at 05.05 hrs.

10. Ambernath-CST local leaving Ambernath at 05.46 hrs is extended and will leave Ex Badlapur at 05.41 hrs.

11. Kalyan-CST local leaving Kalyan at 06.40 hrs is extended and will leave Ex Badlapur at 06.14 hrs.

12. Thane-Karjat local leaving Thane at 09.04 hrs is extended and will leave Ex CST at 08.29 hrs.

13. CST-Kalyan local leaving CST at 21.49 hrs is extended upto Badlapur.

14. CST-Dombivli local leaving CST at 21.42 hrs is extended upto Kalyan.

15. CST-Ambernath local leaving CST at 22.38 hrs is extended upto Badlapur.

16. Karjat-Thane local leaving Karjat at 21.56 hrs is extended upto CST.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES INTRODUCED

1. Kalyan – Dadar local will leave Kalyan at 09.16 hrs and arrive Dadar at 10.25 hrs.

2. Kalyan – Thane local will leave Kalyan at 11.07 hrs and arrive Thane at 11.38 hrs.

3. Khopoli - Karjat local will leave Khopoli at 21.07 hrs and arrive Karjat at 21.32 hrs.

4. Karjat – Khopoli local will leave Karjat at 21.40 hrs and arrive Khopoli at 22.05 hrs.

SERVICES CANCELLED

1. Ambernath – CST local leaving Ambernath at 22.18 hrs

2. CST – Kurla local leaving CST at 00.18 hrs.

3. Ambernath – CST local leaving Ambernath at 22.52 hrs.

4. CST – Kurla local leaving CST at 00.34 hrs.

SALIENT FEATURES OF NEW SUBURBAN TIME TABLE W.E.F. 15.11.2014 

1. All services o­n CST-Kalyan Fast Corridor; Kalyan-Khopoli section and Kalyan-Kasara section will run with new DC-AC rakes and old DC-AC rakes which are having speed limit of 100 kmph.

2. Speeding up of trains – o­n fast corridor between CST – Kalyan from 60” to 58” (saving of 2 minutes), o­n South-East section between Kalyan – Karjat from 54” to 50” (saving of 4 minutes) and o­n North-East section between Kalyan – Kasara from 75” to 70” (saving of 5 minutes).

3. Services o­n Thane – Kalyan section increased from 410 to 423.

4. Additional services from Badlapur leaving at 05.49 hrs, 06.14 hrs and 06.47 hrs. Prior to this the first local was leaving Badlapur at 06.57 hrs.

5. o­ne additional service in morning peak hours between Kalyan – Dadar.

6. Last local connection for CST bound passengers from Asangaon side. The last local leaving Badlapur at 23.50 hrs is extended from Thane to CST will connect to Asangaon-Kalyan local terminating at Kalyan. This train will now leave at 23.32 hrs Ex Asangaon instead of 23.47 hrs which will enable passengers to catch the extended Badlapur-CST local at Kalyan.

7. Enhancement of night corridor blocks o­n suburban section to improve asset reliability. The last local from CST (CST-Karjat local) will leave at 00.30 hrs against existing time of 00.38 hrs and the first local (CST-Kasara local) will leave at 04.12 hrs against existing time of 04.05 hrs.

On account of speeding up of suburban trains and introduction of additional Mail / Express trains the arrival and departure time of suburban services have been changed. INTRODUCTION OF TRAIN NO 22939 / 22940 HAPA - BILASPUR - HAPA EXPRESS

Railways have decided to introduce new weekly Express train between Hapa and Bilaspur w.e.f. 13.11.2014 Ex Bilaspur and w.e.f. 18.11.2014 Ex Hapa.

However, the inaugural special train No. 09435 will leave Hapa o­n 11.11.2014 at 13.15 hrs and arrive Bilaspur at 23.50 hrs next day. The details of commencement of regular services are as under: -

Train No 22939 Hapa - Bilaspur Weekly Express will leave Hapa at 22.25 hrs o­n every Tuesday from 18.11.2014 and will arrive Bilaspur at 04.50 hrs o­n third day.

Train No 22940 Bilaspur - Hapa Weekly Express will leave Bilaspur at 08.10 hrs o­n every Thursday from 13.11.2014 and will arrive Hapa at 14.50 hrs next day.

HALTS o­n Central Railway: Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera, Wardha and Nagpur. 

COMPOSITION: o­ne AC-2 Tier, Two AC-3 Tier, 6 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second class and 2 General Second Class cum Guard's Brake van.

NON-MONSOON TIME TABLE ON KONKAN RAILWAY W.E.F. 1st NOVEMBER 2014

The Non – Monsoon Time Table for   Mail / Express and Passenger trains will come into effect on Konkan Railway from. 1st November, 2014 (i.e trains leaving originating station). Passengers are requested to kindly take a note of the same before undertaking the journey.

Salient features of Non Monsoon Time Table:

1) Train no. 12051/12052 Dadar – Madgaon Janashatabdi Express will be short  terminated at Karmali w.e.f. 01/11/2014.

2) New trains announced in the Railway Budget’ 2014 are as under. Their date of introduction will be announced in due course.
